dŏmna, dŏmĭna

The word in Catalan dona (‘woman’) comes from the Vulgar Latin dŏmna, which is a syncope of the Cult Latin dŏmĭna, lady, mistress of the house. In Catalan, the first written source which is conserved with this world and meaning is from the XII century.

Four perspectives that invite you to think about the woman’s femininity in her home. An intimate space where emotions can freely flow and where small things become exceptional.
